Hop Hing Group Holdings Limited, a company incorporated in the Cayman Islands, is the ultimate holding company of Hop Hing Group which has been listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited since 1988.
Hop Hing and its predecessors in edible oil business have over 80 years' experience in the importing, bottling and distribution of edible oils in Hong Kong. The edible oil business was founded in around 1932 by the late Mr. Hung Hok Yau, our Honorary Chairman's grandfather, and certain partners in Shantou in the PRC.
Mr. Hung Cheung Pui, our Honorary Chairman's late father, entered the edible oil business in 1936 and retired from the position of the Chairman of the Group in 1990. Mr. Hung Hak Hip, Peter, our Honorary Chairman of the Group, entered the edible oil business in 1975. In March 2012, Mr. Hung Ming Kei, Marvin, the nephew of Mr. Hung Hak Hip, Peter, was appointed as an executive director and the chief executive officer of the Group. On 25 March 2016, Mr. Hung Hak Hip, Peter, our Honorary Chairman, retired from the position of the Chairman of the Group, and Mr. Seto Gin Chung, John was appointed as our present Chairman of the Group.
In March 2012, the Group completed the acquisition of Summerfield Profits Limited (which has now been renamed as Hop Hing Fast Food Group Holdings Limited) and its subsidiaries (the " QSR Business") which is a leading quick service restaurant ("QSR") chain operator in the PRC with over 20 years history. By entering into long term franchises, the QSR Group owns the rights to operate the Yoshinoya (吉野家) and Dairy Queen QSR chains in the Northern regions in the PRC, spanning across Beijing and Tianjin municipalities, Hebei, Liaoning, Heilongjiang and Jilin Provinces, and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the PRC. Yoshinoya is a well-known beef bowl brand with over 100 years' history, while Dairy Queen is a popular ice-cream brand with over 70 years' history.
In June 2013, the Group disposed of its edible oil business to Harvest Trinity Limited, a company wholly-owned by the substantial shareholder of the Company. Upon completion of the disposal, the Company and its subsidiaries have become a group of companies which are principally engaged in operating QSR business in China.

Established of a joint venture, Guangzhou Kwong Hing Products Company Limited to undertake the blending, bottling and distribution of edible oils for retail outlets and catering industry in Guangdong Province, the PRC.
1990Production facility by Guangzhou Kwong Hing Products Company Limited in Tangxia, Guangzhou, the PRC in operation.
Built-up of the factory in Yuen Long, Hong Kong, including the only edible oil refinery in Hong Kong, tank farm, blending and bottling facilities and warehouses.
1992Establishment of Shantou SEZ Hop Fook Shing Oil Company Limited to engage in the extraction of peanut oils in Shantou Special Economic Zone, the PRC.
1993Establishment of two joint ventures, namely Zhejiang Hop Hing Oils & Fats Co. Ltd. and Pinghu Hop Hing Vegetable Oils Company Limited, each having one refinery, to undertake edible oil refining activities in Eastern China.
1995Set-up of a representative office in Shenzhen, the PRC, to expand the Group's distribution network.
1997Construction of a state-of-the-art facility in Panyu, Guangdong province, the PRC, comprising two edible oil refineries, an automated oilseed crushing facility, a blending and bottling plant, a substantial tank farm and a purpose-built pier.
According to the publication issued by the Trade Ministry of the PRC, Camel branded cooking oil was amongst the top three best selling brands of quality cooking oils in the PRC.
1999Construction of the third oil refinery in Panyu, the PRC, was completed and commercial production commenced.
2006Administration of Industry and Commerce of Guangzhou Municipality awarded "Guangzhou Well-known Trademark" to Lion & Globe brand and Camel brand.
The integrated management system of Hop Hing Oil Factory Limited, one of the wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Group, received ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certification.
2008Change of the domicile of the holding company of the Group from Bermuda to the Cayman Islands and listing of Hop Hing Group Holdings Limited on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
2012The Group diversified its business from edible oil to the quick service restaurant business which operates "Yoshinoya", the brand name of a Japanese rice bowl quick service chain, and "Dairy Queen", the brand name of an ice cream retailer, in northern China.
Hop Hing Oil Factory Limited also obtained ISO 22000:2005 (food safety management system) and HACCP certification.
2013The Group completed the divestment of its edible oil business in June 2013 which would allow the Company to focus its resources on the fast-growing QSR business and at the same time improve the Company’s capital structure and reduce its gearing.
